Next Fall the third grade students will be able to log on to the Wells Elementary School site to hear a commentary and see the art work at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art before we visit. Hopefully students will be able to reflect and podcast their thoughts about our visit.

The 3/4 multi students are learning about our great state of Maine! After researching, these facts will be visually shared in a large Maine map found outside our classroom. In order for all parents, friends and family members to be included in this project, students will orally share their facts on the web.

The Multi Age 1-2 students will be writing a description of something of their choice. They have published many pieces of writing this year: animal research, a personal adventure, a compare and contrast essay! They have all been published with a visual piece. This writing piece will be published in auditory mode. Each student has included this task in their goals for the remainder of the school year. All of the students will fluently read their description piece onto the new groovy ipod. Then they will be published for family and friends to be wowed by.

we are going to record a recorder rehearsal of concert music so that students can go on line and practice the music at home just as if they were in class.

The students in room 205 are reading a play from our anthology called “The King in the Kitchen”. They will be reading it aloud, with each student taking a part. There are 8 characters in the play so we have two groups each doing the same play. We are practicing reading with expression and loud enough to be heard through the microphone.

I can’t wait to begin using the iPod in my classroom. It will open up all sorts of new things for the students with their research, writing, etc.

Ms. Calo and Mrs. Sweeney’s 2nd grade class are excited to share with teachers and parents how we have integrated physical activity, yoga stretching, and visualization into the classroom. Students will be reporting out what they have learned and how these activities have helped both their minds and bodies.

This class is great. I am so excited about using my iPod in class. The kids were really excited about taping their projects on American Presidents. They can’t wait to be able to hear them online and share them with their families. They were more comfortable being audio taped than being video taped.

I am not really sure how I will use this iPod within my classroom. I hope to allow my students to use this media for sharing information with their families and friends.
